Traffic Control Plans

Every construction project in a public right-of-way requires a compliant Traffic Control Plan — and getting it wrong means costly delays, permit rejections, or safety violations. SafeRoute delivers professionally drafted TCP designs that satisfy Caltrans, city, and county requirements.

We work directly with your contractor team to understand site constraints, lane configurations, and haul routes before putting pen to paper — so the first draft is close to final.

Typical turnaround: 3–5 business days. Rush delivery available.

Base Plans

A base plan is the accurate site drawing your Traffic Control Plan is built on. Without one, designers work from outdated data — leading to plans that don't match field conditions and get kicked back by inspectors.

SafeRoute captures existing lane striping, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, utilities, and adjacent infrastructure. Formatted for direct TCP overlay, saving time and reducing back-and-forth with the permitting agency.

  • Field-verified site documentation
  • Existing striping & curb lines
  • Formatted for TCP overlay
  • AutoCAD-compatible DWG/DXF
  • PDF delivery included

Civil Engineer Stamps for Traffic Control Plans
03

Civil Engineer Stamps

Many jurisdictions in Southern California require Traffic Control Plans to be stamped and signed by a licensed Civil Engineer before they can be submitted for permit. SafeRoute can coordinate PE stamping on your plans so you don't have to chase down a separate engineer and deal with the back-and-forth.

We work with licensed California Civil Engineers to get your plans stamped quickly — keeping your project on schedule without adding another vendor to manage.

Available as an add-on to any Traffic Control Plan order. Contact us for pricing.

  • Licensed CA Civil Engineer stamp
  • Wet or digital signature available
  • Required by many SoCal jurisdictions

FAQ

How long does it take to get a Traffic Control Plan? +

Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from the time we receive your project details. Rush delivery is available for urgent or same-week needs — contact us to discuss your timeline.

Are your plans MUTCD and Caltrans compliant? +

Yes. Every plan is designed in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and California Caltrans standards. Our deliverables are formatted for city and county permit submittal across Southern California.

What is a Base Plan and do I need one? +

A base plan is an accurate site drawing showing existing lane striping, curbs, sidewalks, signals, and adjacent infrastructure. Without one, your TCP may not match field conditions and could be rejected at permit review.

Are revisions included in the price? +

Yes. Revisions are included until your plan receives permit approval. We work with you and the reviewing agency to resolve any comments or redlines at no additional charge.

What file formats do you deliver? +

We deliver PDF for permit submittal and CAD files (DWG/DXF) for contractor use. Both formats are included in every plan package.
